Shifting Sites | New Ground
Adam Garratt | Erika Cann
for Art Week Exeter June 2025
Adam Garratt and Erika Cann explore the dynamics between their practices in an experimental installation of free-standing sculpture. The works explore a shared material language of found and reclaimed matter, examining the intersections between space, materials, and time. Structures reminiscent of brutalist office blocks and towering rock faces emerge and crumble. Processes loop and repeat throughout. Pops of fluorescence quietly signal to one another. Together, the works reflect on the material realities of our existence and the ways in which we inhabit and transform the world around us.
