‘200 prints (part i)’ Exeter

For Correspondence01 I have made 200 screen prints on plastic Monarflex sheeting reclaimed from a building site having once adorned a scaffold structure. The prints are split in to batches of 100 for each gallery and include images of a Skip, a Biffa bin, 2 different utilities boxes & a large wire reel. Each image is printed in black on one side with a fluorescent colour highlighting on the reverse.

‘CIVIC’

A set of screen prints on the deconstructed panels of rubble bags. The images show Exeter Civic Centre’s window unit & Plymouth Civic Centre’s window design. Some of these prints contain the word CIVIC printed in red. Several of these prints are double sided. These are available to buy.

‘Untitled print’ various forms

This print of Exeter Civic Centre’s concrete structural cladding unit has taken various forms. It began as an installation called ‘Brutal Pattern’ for an exhibition for Art Week Exeter 2017. 198 cardboard boxes were printed & stacked. As time went on the images were removed from the boxes to create new work. A bundle form called ‘The space it takes’ was made for STRETCH at PSMirabel, Mancester in 2019. The prints were stacked & strapped together forming printed sculptural work. In its most recent form this set of prints was used to clad walls in a gallery space creating part of a work called ‘INSTALL’ 2021.

Printed set with various buildings

These prints mark the starting point for making a purpose made print run within my practice. 9 of each print were made. Initially they were used as part of MA Graduate show 2019 as a set of inaccessible prints. They were later put up for sale on my website, 2 of the prints were selected for exhibition at Print International 2020 at Ty Pwab, Wrexham.
